About the Job
As a Test Automation Engineer, your role will involve working on projects for our clients, where you’ll serve as a trusted advisor with the backing of the entire Sogeti community. You will have opportunities to deepen your expertise in various tools, methodologies, and frameworks. Those with more experience may also engage in pre-sales activities and contribute to proposal creation for our partners. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Serving as the internal point of contact at Sogeti for all test automation-related activities, including technical support, presentations, solution architecture, and proposal writing.
- Installing, configuring, and upgrading test tools.
- Aligning test automation activities with manual testing processes.
- Developing and maintaining automated scripts, applying the latest scripting techniques.
- Executing automated scripts, monitoring results, and assessing execution outcomes.
- Establishing data, tools, and databases to support integrated test environments.

Your Profile – Skills & Experience
- Higher education (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in testing computer systems and test automation.
- Proficiency with various test tools such as UFT, Performance Center, Selenium, SoapUI, Postman, Jmeter, Appium, Cucumber, FitNesse, Tricentis TOSCA, etc.
- Familiarity with various development practices (V-model, Scrum, TDD, CI, DevOps, etc.).
- Experience with a structured test automation process.
- Knowledge of DevOps/CI tools like Maven, Github, Jenkins, etc.
- Proficiency in structured programming (Java, C++, Perl, Python, etc.).
- Strong technical background, effective communication skills, and a flexible attitude that earns the trust of our clients.
- A balance of self-organization and teamwork.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- A consultative mindset, assisting clients in initiating and accelerating their test automation journey.
- A keen eye for quality and detail with a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills and adaptability to different audiences.
- Resilience under pressure, the ability to work independently, and a proactive approach.
Location
Focus Area: Antwerp, Leuven & Brussels
Languages and Mobility
- Residency in Belgium with eligibility to work in the EU, preferably in the Antwerp, Leuven & Brussels.
- Proficiency in either French or Dutch, as well as English for effective communication.
